Solving the Century Old Dyslexia Riddles
Readers will be amazingly enlightened upon listening to both the 100+ symptoms, 20+ "disorders" and 100+ rapid and often dramatic improvements characterizing Dr Levinson's previously frustrated and suffering dyslexic patients. His successfully treated children and adults volunteered their content, emotions , names and photos on his newly redesigned website so as to help others as they were helped.
Dyslexia affects and often devastates over 40 million Americans, not even counting those severely impaired by related Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD, Anxiety and Mood Disorders. Because of dyslexia's shattering impact on self-esteem and just about every area of academic, cognitive, sensory-motor, emotional, psychosomatic and behavioral functioning, a clear understanding of this disorder and its many diverse symptoms is absolutely essential.
When initially recognized in 1896, dyslexia was mistakenly considered just a pure and severe reading comprehension disorder. It was also mistakenly believed to result when a defective reading processor within the thinking brain failed to recognize the clear letter and word signals received. Unfortunately, its previously hidden inner-ear or cerebellar-vestibular(CV) causation and complex multi-symptomatic nature defied all prior scientific attempts at a medical understanding until the late 1960's. Shortly thereafter, Dr Levinson's CV/dyslexia data led him to challenge and refute the above brain damage convictions. He reasoned and then proved that all the 100+ reading and non-reading writing, spelling… symptoms and 20+ "disorders" characterizing dyslexics resulted when normal brain processors failed to recognize and compensate for the CV-determined scrambled signals they received and transmitted.
Dr Levinson's groundbreaking research now spans over 4 decades. It encompasses the collective insights obtained from more than 35,000 examined and favorably responding dyslexics of all ages. As a result, it is now possible for every dyslexic to be medically understood, definitively diagnosed and successfully treated with inner-ear-enhancing medications and related therapies (Fig. 1). Most important, frustrated and dumb-feeling dyslexics are now medically enabled to feel as smart as they really are and to attain dreams and ambitions never before thought possible. Also degrees of prevention are now possible when utilizing scientifically designed early screening and therapeutic modalities. Even simple signal-enhancing and -stabilizing fonts, typesets and glare-free backgrounds were found to help reading by decreasing letter and word scrambling. Were dyslexia due to brain damaged processors as many experts believe, then all the diverse beneficial signal-enhancing therapies would be ineffective. Not surprisingly, Levinson's forever evolving and expanding CV concepts are now able to explain and/or encompass all other dyslexia data and theories, past and present. This unifying concept is a scientist's dream come true, a clinician's delight, and a patient's God-send.
Levinson's "highly original and challenging research" has been acclaimed by Nobel Prize-winning cerebellar neurophysiologist Sir John Eccles and many outstanding others. Now that his concepts have been recently independently validated by sophisticated brain imaging and related studies, dyslexia cures and true prevention lurk just beyond our current scientific horizons.
All this "lifesaving" information, and much, much more, is now readily available on Levinson's newly redesigned website.

Before Treatment
After Treatment
Although best illustrated by favorable handwriting changes, all CV-determined symptoms were capable of similar rapid and often dramatic improvements when dyslexics were treated with side-effect-free combinations of CV-enhancing medications and nutrients.
About Harold N. Levinson, MD: Physician, Researcher and Author
Harold N. Levinson, M.D. is a world-renowned psychiatrist and neurologist. He is credited with bringing about a dramatic medical breakthrough in the understanding, diagnosis and successful treatment of dyslexia and its many related signal-scrambling disturbances of the inner ear and its supercomputer, the cerebellum — man's lower brain.and the highest brain of most animals. The original insights and content within his many books and research papers dealing with the origins, treatment and interrelationships of dyslexia, learning disabilities, attention deficit, impulse/hyperactivity and anxiety or phobic disorders have appeared in scientific and educational journals.
